Zivio was formed in 1974 as the performing arm of the South Slavic Club of Dayton, Ohio (formerly Yugoslav Club). Zivio choreographs and performs a suite of dances annually from one of the constituent member nations of the club – – Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia. Workshops with recognized dance authorities are held occasionally to hone the skills of the dancers.
